Preliminary Indicators Identified!
Based on national research and best practices, the 2020 Vision indicators selected to evaluate the progress of the initiative include measures along the lifeline of a Berkeley child such as:
• Kindergarten Readiness
• Reading Proficiency by 3rd Grade
• Student Attendance
• Completion of Algebra I Completion by 9th grade, and
• Completion of A-G Requirements
These measures have helped in our planning and will allow us to assess how we are doing in our work. We are currently working to refine the specifics of these measures and establish baseline data and systems for data collection.
